I’m Julia, the Head Teacher at Tudhoe Moor Nursery School since September 2018. Before this I spent five years in London teaching in a large Primary school. I live in North Shields with my husband who is a Maths teacher at a local school and my daughter Eliza.
Most of my career has been spent in the Early Years and I am passionate about delivering a curriculum that develops and creates independence for all children. I believe in giving children the best possible start in life and encouraging children to have high aspirations for when they grow up.
Other roles that I have in school are Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) and Safeguarding Lead. Through these roles I develop good relationships with parents and children to support them with challenges they may face. I work closely with other professionals such as social workers, therapists, health care and the police to ensure that our children are safe, happy and cared for.
